HISTORY

Terrabusi is a young reality in the world of wine, the company was founded in 2011 and the first vintage produced was in 2014. The company vineyards, however, are much older; planted in the 1980s, they are already mature and capable of producing great grapes. Vineyards are obviously Sangiovese, located in one of the places that gave its name to the red vine par excellence of Romagna: Brisighella.

ESTATE

The estate covers two completely different vineyards, in terms of soil, varietal types of Sangiovese, altitude and exposure. Two expressions of the land of Brisighella, where different soils and microclimates meet in a puzzle that is at times more Mediterranean and at times more continental influenced by the particular orography of the land sculpted and characterised by the chalk vein.

The first plant complex is located in the village of Castellina where the company headquarters is located at what was once the old Borgo Vecchio pottery kiln. We are in the raised, sandy loamy plains of the Lamone river with minimal slopes and rich, fertile soils in the upper Brisighella area.

Here Sangiovese speaks the language of freshness and ease of drinking, in fact a part of the vineyard is reserved for rosé wines: FELIX SUIS and RA. An atypical sparkling wine that combines the red fruit of sangiovese with the minerality and sapidity of the soil where it grows.

In another part of the vineyard where the soil is enriched with marl, a cooler area because it overlooks a stream, LAMMONE is produced. The cooler currents give the Sangiovese a balsamic note of aromatic herbs and a delicate but deep and persistent flavour.

The other estate vineyard, Ca Nova, is located closer to the Borgo di Brisighella, above the spa complex, where the road from Brisighella to Modigliana climbs. Here the soils become more tenacious and richer, and warmer due to the south-eastern exposure. Lands of marl and sandstone where the Sangiovese is complemented with wines characterised by intensity of fragrance, elegant, persistent tannins and a savoury finish.

TOWARDS
ORGANIC

In a context rich in biodiversity, the company has chosen to convert to organic farming to further characterize the wines to the surrounding environment by limiting interventions in the vineyard and in the cellar to a minimum.
